Hey Reader, Happy macrame Monday! 👋 I hope you had a lovely Easter and are having a good week so far. 🐣 Today, I have some fun macrame stuff to share with you! -- 🪢 Macrame Picture of the Day 🪢Don't you just love macrame feathers? They're one of my favorite ways to use up scrap cord. And you can just hang them up all over the place! If you struggle (like I do) with getting the fringe just right, you can use a printable template or a wooden template that you kind of sandwich the feather in between and then cut the fringe. That will make trimming feather fringe a piece of cake, seriously. 🪢 Macrame Tip of the Day 🪢When it comes to measuring out your macrame cords, it's handy to have one or two little shortcuts to make it go faster. My favorite hack for cord measuring is using my arm span instead of measuring out each piece. I've measured out my arm span (which is 67 inches) and that way I know an arm span of cord is 67" long (approximately), which is way faster than using a tape measure. Another easy way is to use one of these cool macrame measuring rulers. I got a couple the other day and they really do make it way faster! ✨ Creative Quote of the Day ✨“You can’t use up creativity. The more you use the more you have.” — Maya Angelou So, so true. I find that if you get in a rut, just go work on a project you're excited about, have fun with it and just go where ever it takes you. Suddenly, you'll end up with more ideas than you know what to do with! Then, it's a matter of finding time to do it all. 😅 I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day and I'll talk to you again soon! 😊 |
