Hey Reader, Happy Friday, my friend. I hope you're doing well today! I just have to share this sweet and very relatable comment I received in an Etsy review the other day... If you can't see it or don't have pictures turned on, here's a recap: I'm so glad I found this. This will be so helpful for me. I like to jot down most everything. You should see my lawncare journals. Thank you for all you do to keep my head straight.

Oh my word, Barbara. Yes. I, too, like to jot down most everything. On the left side of my desk right now, as we speak, is a gardening journal that I use for a week at a time and then forget it exists the next. Beside that is a haphazardly arranged copy of the Macrame Project Planner full of hastily sketched out macrame ideas I don't want to forget. There's a composition notebook where I write down all the crochet pattern ideas I'd love to do one of these days. And a big, fancy graph paper journal for graphing out said crochet patterns that I barely use because I'm afraid to ruin the nice paper. There's a lovely, spiral bound weekly planner that I also barely use because I know I'm going to change my mind about my schedule 153 times by the end of the week, and I don't want to make it look messy with all my scribbling out of re-imagined plans. Post-It notes. Post-It notes covering the right side of my desk. π³ Most of them are orange, but there is one rogue purple one thrown in there. I almost used a hot pink pen on an orange Post-It yesterday and that would of been a disastrous mistake for my retinas. Anyway...I'm right there with ya, Barbara. π One thing I've realized in all this is when it comes to planning things out, a digital notebook is the ideal solution for the indecisive. You gotta write things down one way or the other, right? But the ability to change your mind and move things around easily, erase things with no paper ruining, and magically add more pages in between existing pages has been a complete paradigm shift. Seriously. π€― Buuuut... at the same time, you can't beat writing on a good old piece of REAL paper. ποΈ And yours truly is a total sucker for some good, solid stationary supplies. π€ I have a slightly unhealthy obsession with those fancy, leather-bound notebooks filled with thick paper that is so satisfyingly smooth (yet bleed-resistant, as they say), an ever-so-slightly pretentious ribbon bookmark and a simple yet sturdy elastic band to hold it all together. But in all honesty, I'm waaay more likely to actually WRITE in a cheapo notebook from the school supply aisle at Walmart. Or a printed out planner on regular old, off-brand printer paper. Or all these random Post-Its. So here's my solution. I still collect those fancy leather-bound notebooks on occasion because it brings me great joy, but I do most of my day-to-day planning on:
I'll brain-dump all my ideas in any one of those places and get them as organized as my bustling mind can muster. Then, and only then, using my absolute best handwriting, I'll transfer the ones I deem worthy into my ever-so-magical Leuchtturm1917 journal, if I'm feeling so inclined. Win win!
