Remember the gift basket I'm teaching at the Elves' Workshop?
Not only will I show you how to make that, but I'll also show you how to fill it with lots of fun goodies that your gift recipient is gonna love!
Here's what I like to put in mine:
- A pint jar of my homemade hot cocoa mix, with a cute little circle of Christmas fabric tucked under the lid ring
- A fun mug, because the cocoa needs somewhere to go and who doesn't love a new mug
- A few gourmet candy canes, or those chocolate coated spoons, or some fancy marshmallows
- Pretty tissue paper to fluff it all up and fill in the gaps
And then there's the coiled basket itself, which of course is my favorite part.
Because the basket IS the wrapping, there's nothing to tear off and throw away. (Well except the tissue paper, lol. But you can omit that if you want.)
Your person gets to keep the lovely basket to store all those random things on their counter long after the cocoa is gone.
My homemade cocoa mix recipe is only 3 simple ingredients. The free Handmade Gift Basket Kit has the recipe in both pint and half pint sizes, so you can use whatever jars you've got.
The kit also has the written basket pattern, printable jar labels, and 8 gift tags. (You'll see a spot to sign up for the free kit under my presentation video on day 1.)
And mine is just one of 32 free workshops.
There's a chunky crochet cowl, sewn lavender bags, clay poinsettia ornaments, glowing mason jar luminaries, and a whole lot more.
The Elves' Workshop is free, online, and runs November 10 to 12.
If it's not your thing, no hard feelings at all. But if you want to see how it all comes together, come save your spot.
